What is an OEM?
An OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) is a company that builds a product that sells under its own company name and brand. An OEM, such as HP or Brother, will manufacture the product and assign a unique part number to that product. Here at Print Green Ink, we give the OEM part number to assist you in finding any of our premium compatible cartridges.
What is a compatible cartridge?
Compatible means that though the product is not necessarily an original, it will still fulfill the same purpose. For example, most people do not use HP paper in HP printers. They use something that works just as well. Another example is while in the grocery store, you have your choice between the Name Brand of your favorite juice or you can buy the local store brand. Print Green Ink uses only OEM cores in the recycling process to ensure our customers the highest quality in our premium compatible cartridges. All of our remanufacturers are the industry's specialists with 15 to 30 years of experience behind each of them.
What is a remanufactured cartridge?
A remanufactured cartridge is a cartridge that has been manufactured from new and recycled components. It has been rebuilt to match the exact specifications of the original. In many cases, the OEM cartridges actually contain recycled or recovered materials. Here at Print Green Ink, we add additional ink in our recycled cartridges so our customers get more print for their money.
OEM's have a better yield and a lower failure rate right?
Compatible Cartridges have the same failure rate as OEM<'s (less than 1%) and the yield is equal to, or greater.
Can the company that services my copier void my service contract, if I choose to use a compatible ink or toner cartridge in my copier?
No. Your manufacturer cannot void your machines warranty for using cartridges other than theirs under the Magnussen-Moss Warranty Improvement Act. However, it may void your service contract, if you have a binding agreement to use their supplies.
What is the difference between purchasing my toner through Print Green Ink as opposed to a big supply retail store or supply chain?
Obviously your purchase through Print Green Ink is going to save you a good deal of money. Here at Print Green Ink, we are committed to protecting our environment. Each year our landfills are being filled with non-biodegradable ink jet and toner cartridges. With our recycle program, we can recycle the cartridges to keep them out of the landfill.
